The short answer

asked by Brett, 9 Sep 2026

Both states are converting, barely, and almost entirely through people who already know the name. Arizona took 12 bookings in 90 days and Nevada took 5. Thirteen of those 17 came from someone typing the address straight in.

The ads produced one booking between the two states. In the last 30 days they spent $3,026 and sent 1,590 clicks to the booking page.

And the pattern underneath is the useful part: every booking in Arizona came from a small town, and every Arizona metro booked nothing at all.

The Arizona campaign targets the whole state, yet Meta put 97.5% of August's budget into the Phoenix and Tucson markets — the two that booked nothing. With no conversion signal it optimises toward cheap reach, and cheap reach lives in the cities. Seventeen bookings is a signal worth testing, not a law, but it is consistent across both states.

What is causing it

in the order worth fixing
Cause 1The budget is aimed at the markets that do not convert

Every Arizona metro booked nothing in 90 days. Phoenix 198 sessions, zero. Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale and Tucson, zero between them. Every Arizona booking came from a small town: Lake Havasu City, Page, Payson, Globe, Bullhead City, Camp Verde. Nevada is the same shape — Las Vegas converts at 0.5% and Wells at 7.7%. Now look at where the money went: of Arizona's $1,037 in August, Meta put $866 into the Phoenix market and $145 into Tucson. 97.5% of the budget went to the two markets that booked nothing, and under 3% reached the towns that produced all 12 bookings.

Fix Note what did NOT cause this. The campaign targets the whole state, not a metro — Meta concentrated the spend into Phoenix by itself. With no conversion signal it optimises toward cheap reach, and cheap reach lives in the cities. It is the same root cause as the age skew: no signal, so it buys whatever is cheapest. Fixing the Zenoti events is the real answer. In the meantime, splitting the rural markets into their own ad set guarantees them budget instead of leaving it to an algorithm with nothing to go on.

Cause 2The ads skip the website entirely

Every live ad in both states sends people to modwella.zenoti.com/webstoreNew/services — a plain list of services with no city on it, no nurse, no local context. In 30 days 1,488 people from these two states landed there. Paid social produced one booking across both states in 90 days.

Fix Point the ads at the state and city pages on the new site, which carry the nurses, the coverage area and the reviews, and hand off to Zenoti at checkout. The site moves next week.

Cause 3The ads are optimising blind

Zenoti's booking page has the Facebook purchase and schedule events switched off, so Meta only ever sees that somebody opened the page. Across every state $19,101 of spend in 30 days produced six purchases Meta can see, and all eleven ad sets sit in a failed learning state.

Fix Two toggles inside Zenoti. Cheapest change on the account and it improves every state. It also means Meta reporting zero purchases here is not proof the ads produced none — it is proof we cannot tell.

Both statesThe Google listings cannot take a booking

Over six months the Arizona profile drew 1,434 views and 7 calls; Nevada drew 1,418 views and 10 calls. Both recorded zero bookings, because Zenoti is not connected to Reserve with Google. Nevada's engagement roughly halved between March and July and its only measurable search term is the word “modwella”. Arizona held steady and peaked in July.

Fix Connect Zenoti to Reserve with Google so the listings can take a booking, and start answering reviews on both profiles.

Worth checkingLas Vegas may sit outside the listed service area

The Nevada Business Profile publishes its coverage as “Reno, Mesquite and 2 other areas”, so at most four areas cover the state. Las Vegas is the biggest source of Nevada traffic by a distance, though on these corrected numbers it converts poorly — 370 sessions and 2 bookings.

Fix Confirm Las Vegas is one of the four. Cheap to check and cheap to fix, but on the evidence it is a smaller prize than it first looked.

What we would do, in order

the first costs nothing and helps every state
  1. 1
Switch the two Zenoti events onJosilyn

Purchase and schedule. Until this happens no report about ad performance in any state is trustworthy, including this one.

  2. 2
Test a rural split against the metro budgetGullStack

Every booking in Arizona came from a small town and every metro booked nothing. Measure it before reallocating properly.

  3. 3
Point the Arizona and Nevada ads at real pagesNeeds the domain

The state and city pages are built. They cannot carry ad traffic until modwella.com points at the new site, which happens next week.

  4. 4
    Connect Reserve with GoogleJosilyn

Thirteen verified listings and 2,683 website clicks in six months, none of which can book without leaving Google first.

  5. 5
Confirm Las Vegas is in the Nevada service areaJosilyn

One minute in the Business Profile.

Where these numbers come from

and what they cannot tell you
  • Corrected 11 September. An earlier version of this page counted GA4 "key events" as bookings. This property has eight key events and only one is a purchase; the rest are older custom events such as a click on "view our locations" and a click on a phone number. That overstated Arizona as 19 and Nevada as 19. Every figure here now counts purchases only.
  • Website figuresare a live read of Modwella's own Google Analytics property, 90 days to 10 September 2026.
  • Meta's purchase counts are not reliable, for the reason in Cause 3. Where this page says the ads produced almost nothing, that comes from the website's own record of each booking, not Meta's.
  • Seventeen bookings is a small sample. The metro-versus-small-town pattern is consistent across both states and across eleven cities, which is why it is worth acting on, but it should be tested rather than assumed.
  • Business Profile figures run March to August 2026 and August is a partial month, so the last point in any trend reads lower than reality.
